Cherry Berry Pie
Ingredients:
- Crust of choice
- 4 1/2 cups frozen Montmorency tart cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Cherry Republic Montmorency Dried Cherries
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups of frozen blueberries
Crumb Topping:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 stick softened butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine frozen cherries, dried cherries, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir constantly on medium high heat until boiling. Boil for 1 minute or until thickened.
- Add almond extract and lemon juice.
- Pour blueberries in bottom of pie shell and pour cherry mixture over them.
- Mix together all crumb topping ingredients until crumbly.
- Cover filling with crumb topping.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour or until bubbling and crust is golden brown and enjoy!
