Chocolate Cherry Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 jar of Mama Mary's Cherry Pie Filling
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Frosting:
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 6 oz chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Make cake according to box instructions or homemade recipe.
- Mix in 1/2 jar of Mama Mary's Cherry Pie Filling.
- Spread on a 15 x 10 cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- To make frosting, combine sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan on medium-high heat.
- Boil and stir constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips.
- Spread frosting over cake because it will set up quickly.
- Let the frosting cool and enjoy!
