Drive-Thru Job Fair

We will be hosting Drive-Up Job Fairs on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 and Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

We are hoping to fill positions in both Glen Arbor and Traverse City for holiday call center workers and retail ambassadors, as well as front/back-of-house positions in the Cherry Public House. Additional pickers, packers, shippers, and order processors are also needed at our fulfillment centers. Employees enjoy 25% off our products, flexible schedules, and a safe working environment.

Cherry Republic’s Business Gifts Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Business Gifts department, works with staff to complete orders to customer expectations and works in partnership with the fulfillment department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the Business Gift department.
  • Oversee the process of taking, processing and fulfilling orders through the ERP system (Ruby).
  • Contribute to the training and development of call center supervisors and representatives.
  • Responsible for increasing sales.
  • Build customer loyalty by delivering on expectations.
  • Ability to provide quality solutions when providing quotes or closing deals.
  • Set priorities to expand customer base.
  • Build relationships with existing customers.
  • Timely follow-up with inbound leads and opportunities.

Cherry Republic’s Picker is responsible to select presentation materials (gift box) and all materials for shipping as designated by the printed order and passing materials to the Packers for completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Select the correct sized presentation box for packing.
  • Add all picked materials to the box, add paperwork and give to Packer staff.
  • Work with Lead Picker to keep Pick Rack filled at all times, including the movement of inventory within the ERP system.
  • Assist in the Inventory of all materials on Pick Rack during monthly physical inventory, or more often as designated by Order and Floor Supervisor or Lead Picker.
  • Ensure all empty carton materials have been safely removed from the Picking/Packing area to avoid trip hazards.
  • Communication with Lead Picker regarding status of daily orders.
  • Pack gift boxes when all orders are picked to ensure all orders get out the door daily.
  • First line of defense for quality. If labels are missing, tops are popped, materials are compromised; remove from inventory.

Cherry Republic’s Warehouse Packer is responsible for picking products from inventory by hand, packing them securely and preparing for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Place products or materials into boxes, using hands.
  • Arrange products and materials appropriately to ensure safe delivery.
  • Verify products contained within the box is what is listed on the invoice or order form.
  • Seal boxes, using tape or other required tools.
  • Ensure products and boxes are packed tightly.
  • Perform necessary labeling in preparation for shipment.
  • Complete any required paperwork for proper inventory control.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Properly dispose of any packing materials or packing equipment after each shift.
  • Report any defective products, tools, or equipment to the shift manager.

Necessary Skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
  • Ability to listen for comprehension and understanding.
  • Attention to detail relative to packing instructions.

Cherry Republic’s Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils though manual and machine cleaning methods. The Dishwasher is also expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by busing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and restocking to its appropriate place in the Back of the House.
  • Preparing for peak periods and sequential shifts by cleaning and restocking cook stations.
  • Cleaning machines and appliances used in kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, special attention to items that are spilled or broken.
  • Taking out the trash and maintenance of all garbage receptacles.
  • Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
  • Support all other areas within the Back of the House as needed.

Necessary Skills:

  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to keep up with the flow of incoming and outgoing service ware.
  • Attention to detail when washing and sanitizing kitchen items.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.

We are accepting applications for energetic, motivated Front of the House servers and beer tenders to work in our Brewery & Restaurant this summer! Our ideal candidate will be empowered to deliver superior customer service to all of our visitors and have a deep knowledge base of our delicious food items and specialty beers.

You must be able to do the following tasks — or willing to learn how!

  • Assist with the day-to-day flow of the Public House.
  • Greet guests while delivering superior customer service.
  • Ensure an ideal guest experience.
  • Be able to take customer orders using the Point of Sale system.
  • Deliver delicious food and beverages.
  • Bus tables in indoor/outdoor seating areas.
  • Provide a clean, safe environment for everyone.

We are accepting applications for Prep & Line Cooks for the Back of the House in Glen Arbor this summer. If you have a passion for delicious cuisine and have kitchen experience, please apply now! We have full time and part time positions available in our newly renovated Cherry Public House.

You must be able to do the following tasks — or willing to learn how!

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Set-up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare a variety of foods: meat, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Cover, date, and correctly store all pieces and food prep items.
  • Use food preparation tools in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Return dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas.
  • Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.
  • Open/close kitchen correctly and follow checklist for kitchen stations.
  • Answer, report, and follow Culinary Manager’s instructions.

Cherry Republic’s Retail Ambassador helps to provide a quality customer service experience by assisting customers and providing overall support to Retail Management and staff. This role will be cross-trained to work in several customer-facing areas, including cashier, sales floor, and soda tasting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Management as directed in accomplishing operational and customer service oriented tasks and responsibilities.
  • Enforcement of Cherry Republic customer service expectations through example.
  • Ability to follow and enforce policy and procedures.
  • Strong desire to provide quality customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Assist Retail Management as backup and shared ownership of the following duties:
    • Help with events in the store and throughout the company.
    • Cash handling & Point of Sale (POS) operations.
    • Continually work towards monitoring the appearance and cleanliness of Retail Store.
  • Apply practices from CR 101 training established by customer service guidelines.
  • Inform customers of daily specials, sales, Ship from Store etc. Look for upselling opportunities and upsell when possible.
  • Ensure that merchandise is clean and prepared for display.
  • Maintain floor inventory, the store should look full.
  • Ensure that promotions are accurate and merchandised to company standards.
  • Ability to perform Ship from Store.
