Summer Into Fall

Posted by andrewm on Sep 28th 2017

This September has truly become an extension of summer.  I am thankful that the boys haven’t had any homework, so the moment they are out of school we’ve been able to do all the million things a person can do under the sun in Northern Michigan.  Colebrook and Hawthorn caught the biggest fish they’ve ever had on a line.  They built beach structures and slept on the beach under the stars.  They’ve snorkeled and tubed and learn to water ski.  But again, these photos can express the fun far better t ...

Summer Selfie Recap

Posted by andrewm on Sep 24th 2015

This summer we held a contest where customers visiting any of our 4 locations could take an individual or group “selfie” to be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card. We had so many people take selfies in our store that we couldn’t post them all. We hope everyone had as much fun taking them as we had looking through them. It was so much fun that we are planning to do it again next year. Even Boomer the Bear had time to submit his selfie with friends. Seriously, can't get enough! Even ...

Hide and Go Seek

Posted by bob on Jul 8th 2015

You’re never too old to play hide and seek. At least, that’s how we feel. And to prove it, we’re inviting you along to play. On Friday, July 17, a handpicked group of Cherry Republic employees will be delivering products to the Glen Arbor store. Rather than using our trucks, they will be traveling on foot, bicycle, or other non-motorized means. Here’s the fun part – anyone who can find and tag them will get a sample of the products in their backpack. We’re still working out the rules a ...

Bringing Cherry Pie to the Italian Countryside

Posted by LauraAnn on Jan 15th 2015

The restaurant and bed-and-breakfast at Agriturismo Signur Set in a mountainous northern Italian village, only 30 minutes from Lake Como, Agriturismo Signur is a picturesque contradiction of old world Italian farmstead-charm and modern Ikea esthetic. The property is host to a bed and breakfast, farm to table restaurant, u-pick berry farm, and a handful of donkeys, chickens, ducks, and guinea fowl. I arrived there in late July to work as a farm hand and fill-in cook after four long months ...

Posted by bob on Jul 17th 2014

Each day, we strive to live and work by our motto Life, Liberty, Beaches and Pie. It means something special to each and every person so we set out to capture its essence in a Summer Photo Challenge. Does your definition include crystal blue water and an endless sand beach? Maybe it's a golden sunset. Maybe it's sharing a moment with family and friends on a dock. Or maybe it's watching a Bald Eagle soar over the hills and valleys of northern Michigan. No matter what it is, all that matters is ...
