A Christmas Gift to our Servicemen and Women

Posted by bob on Jan 10th 2014

The holiday season is typically a time spent with family, but in a lot of cases loved ones are overseas protecting our country and can't make it home. In those cases, sending our servicemen and women a little taste of home is sometimes all we can do. We received the following story from Susie Olsen a few days after Christmas: "I have a friend who's husband is in Afghanistan now. I had this great idea to send him some goodies for he and his platoon (I was thinking 40-50 guys). When I asked my ...

Cherry Republic began as a small store with 2 employees but now employs over 200 people for the busy holiday season. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at Cherry Republic during our busiest time of the year!   Here are several of Cherry Republic’s call center staff answering the phones.  Chances are, if you call our 1-800 number to make an order, you will chat with someone in this room.  And you just might get Patty, our Cherry Republic customer service manager, who is pictured (in blue) below. ...

Fall Recipe Contest Results

Posted by bob on Oct 25th 2013

The Cherry Republic Fall Recipe Contest has come to a close.  We received so many recipes over the last few weeks we thought we might have mistakenly offered the deed to the Glen Arbor property as top prize. It was hard to choose one - should it be a dessert? Main course? The recipe with most products used? Most original?  Since we couldn't even decide on the parameters of our little contest, we just decided to give it to best overall recipe - which really means eeny meeny miney mo. Just kidd ...

Your Summer Memories

Posted by bob on Aug 22nd 2013

We received an overwhelming response to our summer story request. We sifted through a ton of stories and it was tough, but we forced ourselves to narrow it down to two. Below the stories you can find some runner-up images. Enjoy!     #1 Becoming Miss Tahquamenon The picture shocked me.  I’d never liked being photographed, considering myself un-photogenic, so when I opened Jim’s postcard attachment and was catapulted back to 1958, I just sat at my computer and stared at it for awhile. ...

2 weeks ago, we decided it was time for an Up North photo contest....what does Life, Liberty, Beaches and Pie mean to you?  And you showed us in over 130 photos.  Here are the Round 1 results (it was very tough to decide). For the funniest photo that captures what the north is all about, we have Lauren Fleming’s husband, who fell asleep in this exact position for 2 hours on the beach in Ludington.                 For the one that best expresses our love for this regio ...

A Golden Opportunity

Posted by LauraAnn on May 24th 2012

This post was written by Alex Lowry.  She and her family were Cherry Republic's millionth gift box recipients.  Inside this box they found our Golden Ticket, which automatically earned them a trip to Glen Arbor and a peek into the inner workings of Cherry Republic.  Here are her reflections on their trip: I need to start with a confession. Last year I, a lifetime Cherry Republic faithful fan, unsubscribed from the Orchard Report. I know it sounds blasphemous, but after several years of unsucc ...
