Cherry Republic Announces Grand Opening In Traverse City!

Cherry Republic, North America's 4th Largest country plans to officially open their Traverse City Embassy complex. The three day event will take place on October 10, 11 and 13th at their 150 E. Front Street location in Downtown Traverse City.

October 10 from 4-7 pm will be a Downtown Merchants and Chamber of Commerce mixer. Wine and appetizers will be tasted in our Winery. Guided tours of the Whiting building will take place. Invitations will be mailed shortly.

October 11 from 4-8 pm is Farmer Appreciation Night. Invitations are being mailed. Cherry Republic will celebrate the farmers that make this area the largest tart cherry producing region in North America. Cherry Republic will announce several donations throughout the evening.

October 13 from 11 am -8 pm is Election Fun Day. Cherry Republic will officially open the Embassy and Winery. A new leader of the Cherry Republic will be chosen by an all-day open election. Candidates will be available to state their Cherry Republic views. Citizens and prospective citizens will be invited to tour the Whiting building as well as learn some history about the Cherry Republic. Giveaways will occur throughout the day.

Cherry Republic offers over 170 cherry products via its stores, mail order and website. Cherry Republic's capital is located in Glen Arbor, Michigan with an embassy Downtown Traverse City. The company was founded in 1989 by Bob Sutherland who started selling a t-shirt out of the back of his car. Cherry Republic now ships millions of pounds of cherry products every year to North America and beyond.
