| LOOK----> Cherry Wonderbars!----> Fab Fourth! The 4th of July Parade in Glen Arbor was bigger and better than ever. As is our custom, Cherry Republic was last in line for the parade. And it seemed like hours before we were able to hand out fresh sweet cherries to onlookers along the route. We were pretty much swarmed once we hit the first main corner. It was amazing how generous all the different parade participants were - hot dogs, dental floss, toilet paper, beach balls, and of course candy were tossed out of the floats by the fistful. Some kids had a bigger stash of candy than they had after their best Halloween trick-or-treating. Head to the Chamber of Commerce website for some pictures by Glen Arbor photographer Joanne Rettke. |

Cherry Festival hits TC The National Cherry Festival in Traverse City is in full swing. Our downtown TC embassy is in full diplomatic mode, greeting and treating the many tourists with the finest cherries in the north. Our embassy even played host to the US Navy's Blue Angels over the weekend (at least that's what someone said, we give samples no matter what you drive). We were featured on a story by 9 & 10 News. You can view that here. |

Feels like Summer! I don't know if anyone has checked outside, but it looks, feels and smells like summer. I am swimming every evening. I wish I could swim every day, but the company is busy right now. We had our busiest July 4th ever! And the momentum is carrying into this week. Yogi Berra used to say, "That place is so busy, nobody goes there anymore." Well, that oxymoron isn't happening to us! More and more people just keep coming. I am leaving for the beach right now. Oh, I just have to check on one new sweat shirt design for fall first... |
