| LOOK--> Special Father's Day Gift Box!--> Father's Day is Sunday Is Sunday, though, the most appropriate day of the week to celebrate Father's Day? Saturday seems like a better day to the Cherry Republic. It's more sporting and rambunctious. Sundays are for laundry and crock pot chicken dinners. Saturdays are for chips and Cherry Salsa, Cherry Nut Mix and Cherry BBQ Sauces(see this weeks special). As President of the Cherry Republic, I hearby extend Father's Day to Saturday too! Happy Father's Days. (And if you do take advantage of my proclamation and celebrate some of Father's Day on Saturday, let me know what you did). |

Bear Sightings in the North... Harbor Springs has been in the news with bear sightings and bird feeders being forcibly knocked down. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the bears are hungry...Security at the capital of the Cherry Republic has been increased since bears have been spotted on the shores of Glen Lake. Take a look at this picture taken by Greg Halik, who lives on the wild southwest side of Little Glen. Don't worry, the cherries are under the protection of the Home Guard. |

Wild Weather... It's been a weekend of wild weather. We've seen it all -- hot, cold, wind, calm, rain, thunder, lightning. My family got some time on the beach and sand dunes -- Colebrook's first solo walk up to the top of the Dune Climb. But mostly, we saw a lot of rain while sitting in the log cabin. A good rain is really relaxing and comforting. Today the sky is full of thick clouds and mist, so it should be a smooth and steady day at work. |
